The rest of the weekend...

On Sunday we went out to have a picnic to celebrate my mom's birthday.  We spent most of the day outside, which was nice.  Everyone brought a salad and my grandma brought chicken... and Libby brought a homemade German Chocolate cake!  Happy birthday again, mom!!!  I can't believe you're already 29!!!  (and that I'm older than you now!  haha)

The three amigos!

The kitten on Lily's shirt looked exactly like Cody's new kitten!  Which was there today and we couldn't drag the girls away from it!

I can't believe there are only two more weeks of summer left!  Next weekend we have a trip to Portland and then Labor Day and then school starts!  Since we've only gotten a handful of "hot" days, I could really use another month :)  But on the brighter side, only two more weeks until I switch to part time!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!

Mom, I hope you have a really really great b-day!  And hope you have an even better time at your party tomorrow!  You're the best!

Kitty Fever and Date Night

Today Gallie got to go to Cody's house to play with his new kitten - now she wants one more than ever!  Cody is letting Gallie and Lily name her, and so far Gallie's best pick is "Lily Mae."  We stayed for about an hour and Gal was very upset to leave but luckily she will get to play with her again tomorrow :)

Last night we had a date night at my friend Whitney's wedding - it was a beautiful night and we ate good food!  We were suppose to go out afterwords, but we are getting to old for that (30!!!) so we went home and watched a movie :)

We also had a date night last Wednesday!  Gallie went on a ferry adventure for the day with Libby, Lily, my mom and some of their friends.  They ended up coming home later than expected so we went to dinner at my favorite restaurant.  We hardly ever go out alone, so it was quite the coincidence that is happened twice in two weeks!

Whatcom Tourism

I'm a little late posting this, but here is a link to the Whatcom Tourism commercial that we were in last winter.  We will also appear in the summer series as well and that one should be done soon.

*My mom was recently in a health care ad and I hope to post that when I get it too :)

Fun at the fair!

We weren't going to go to the fair this year, but Caleb got free tickets from work, so we went!  Gallie's favorite thing by far was petting all of the baby animals:  kittens, calf, piglets, lamb, horse, and goat.  Next year she is set on being a "goat girl" as she calls it - one of the girls that is in the baby goat area to hold them up for people to pet :)  Also, the mini donuts were a close runner up!

Unfortunately after this picture, my camera battery died :(  But I can assure you she had a good time.  And boy was she tired tonight at bedtime :)

a picnic for three

I still have a lot to work on, but the new blog is up and has a couple posts!  I am in no stretch of the imagination a skilled photographer, but Caleb got me a new camera (a nice one!) for my birthday and I'm trying to learn and get better.  I would appreciate any tips or constructive criticism on the photos.  The easy thing to do would be to have Caleb just snap them (since he does it for a living!), but I want to try and do these on my own.  But to give him some of the credit, he does help with the recipes and the cooking :)

So, please take a look and subscribe as a follower if you like it!  I'm going to try to post 2 or 3 times a week to start.  And don't worry, the Callie blog will always be top priority!

Over the weekend...

On Saturday afternoon we went to Hovander Park - a really cool park that has barns, gardens, tractors, animals, and towers. It's a great place for kids! Callie's favorite part was feeding the goats :)
