A few things...

Brittany PJ's!!!  My mom got these for Gallie the other day at a garage sale and she has wore them every night since!  She says the squirrel is Brittany from Alvin & the Chipmunks (her favorite movies right now).

Hula girl!  Gallie got this hula hoop with her farm market money (along with some strawberries and some beets - she had to use some of it for food!)  She's been practicing a lot and can get it around about three times!  We've also been working on jump roping, but I think that one will take a little longer to perfect :)

Peanut butter play dough!  We made this right before the move and I never posted it.  I got the recipe somewhere online.  It was really easy to make and tasted VERY good, but it dried out pretty quickly.  A fun project nonetheless.

Mini books!  This was another project that Gallie was obsessed with before we moved.  I think we made over 100 of these little books.  I was running out of ideas, but they just kept coming from her!

We did a serious of them with finger print animals :)

A day with Ayden!  Also before the move, Gallie and I babysat Ayden for the ENTIRE day!  Gosh I forgot what it was like to take care of a baby and it's NOT easy!!!  Gallie was a big help though and we really enjoyed having him :)  He is a good little guy!

The condo.  It was actually really hard leaving this place.  Gallie and I got pretty emotional - we lived there for 7 years to the month.  Gallie was born there and it was the only home she knew and the only home we knew with her.  We are renting it though, so who knows... if we ever go broke we can sell the house and move back in!  It really was a nice place to live.

We miss you condo!

House Tour Part 2

The kitchen - the kitchen was the most fun to design.  I pretty much lived on Pinterest for 3 months!  I really love how the sea green turned out and also really love the sink :)  Another favorite is the open shelving.

My beloved cake plate collection :)

The beginning of my window herb garden.

Gallie's play room - We put this little room downstairs so Gallie could have a place to play and to also keep the toys in one area.  I tried to make it look like a little house and think it turned out pretty cute.  We still have a few things to hang on the walls and I would like to add another rug the same size but in a different color.

Caleb and I are in the process of making her a little coffee stand to put in here as well.  Caleb has been saving some of his coffee stuff and we're making some other things to go with it.

This is one of my favorite things Gallie has made!

The entry way -  We love having a place to hang our coats and bags when we come in the door.  We had a coat closet at the condo, but for some reason everything ended up on the floor for me to put away - I guess opening a door was too much effort for some people :)

The backyard - we negotiated the swing set and garden boxes in with the house deal and I'm so glad we did!  It was nice to have it all ready for us to use when we moved in.  The swing set has been so nice for Gallie (and me!  I love swinging!).  We put her little outdoor chair in the fort, along with a crate for a table.  I also gave her some of my plastic picnic dishes to keep out there - she loves it!

And our garden is actually growing!  We planted the following:  strawberries, blueberries, squash (spaghetti & acorn), lemon cucumbers, tomatoes (4 varieties), golden beets, regular beets, rainbow chard, lettuce, basil, parsley, and wild flowers.  We've been making salads from garden lettuce for the past week!

I will hopefully have the rest of the house up in the next week or two!

House Tour Part 1

I'm finally getting around to posting some photos of the new house!  I'm hoping to get more up tomorrow.  We are still working on our bedroom, the dining room, and the living room so those will have to wait a couple weeks!

We were very lucky and pretty much got to design the house, inside and out.  Everyone knows I'm addicted to everything coastal, so my hope for this house was for it to resemble a beach house.  I'm really happy with how it turned out :)

**********************************

The downstairs bathroom - I really wanted to try and make each room in the house unique in some way.    For this small bathroom, we painted it sea green and added the white panels up the wall.

Heading upstairs (the downstairs was a mess when I was taking these pictures, so the rest will be upstairs!).  I definitely wanted the stairs to turn as they went up for safety reasons.

Caleb's boy cave (Gallie heard him say "man cave" and renamed it his "boy cave") - this is the only area in the house that he got any say in :)  It doesn't really go with my coastal theme, but I actually really liked what he did with it.  The bookcase was the only piece of new furniture we bought for the house.  Man, we had a lot of stuff crammed into that tiny condo!!!  He filled it with old books, records, cameras and crap cool stuff like that.  (haha Gallie tried to sneak her way into every picture!)

Gallie's bathroom - which is also the guest bathroom.  We added glass knobs on the drawers and cupboards.  All of the doors in the house have glass knobs - one of my favorite additions.

Gal picked out the light fixtures - they are seashell.

The guestroom - and we've already had 3 different guests stay in here!  The bed is Gallie's old bed, with a boxspring added for height.  The nightstand belonged to my grandpa - my dad gave it to me like 10 years ago and I painted it light green.  I made the garland with old fabric scraps Molly gave me.

We really want to make this room like a hotel!  Caleb wants to add a little coffee station (of course, he would.) in the desk.  And possible a TV?  We are taking reservations :)

Gallie's room - she chose to have it the same color as her old room.  I thought that was sweet.  And it does actually remind me of her old room, which I love.  Her new bed is actually her old bed!  It was Molly's when she was little.  The only new thing we got for her room is the bedding - it was a splurge from Land of Nod :)

The linen closet - Gallie really wanted me to take a picture of her and tell everyone that she can fit inside it with the door closed :)

The laundry room - I LOVE the W&D!  They are huge and I don't have to do as much laundry because I can shove so many clothes in them!  The rug was a housewarming gift from my grandma - it's from Etsy.

Our $3 Ikea laundry baskets fit perfect!

Master bath - this room gets so much light!  And the tub is nice - Gallie loves it!

More to come!
