Trick-or-Treat Extravaganza!

And here is the costume... A pink, flying horse!!! It turned out to be a very cute costume and everyone loved it!

And here is Caleb's costume!!! We are very much into Mad Men right now, if you can't tell!

In the afternoon, we trick-or-treated downtown and in Fairhaven. We've done this the past three years and it is perfect for toddlers. Last year Gallie was pretty scared of the creepy costumes and decorations, but this year she thought it was funny :) A year can make such a difference!

Here is a close-up of the "mane."

In the evening we went to a pizza party at Cody's house. Then later we wanted to try out trick-or-treating door to door at just a couple houses... we ended up staying for almost an hour because Gallie was having so much fun! She ended up with 2 buckets full of candy... she doesn't like chocolate, so Caleb and I hit the jackpot! We all had a great Halloween!

DADDY DATE NIGHT

Last Friday I went out to dinner with some friends and Caleb and Callie went on a date! They ate dinner at Red Robin Hood (of course!) and then went to Build-a-Bear for a special treat... to pick out a Halloween costume for Gallie's pink bear.

Caleb said it was a very hard decision for her, but finally decided on a pink princess dress :)

Costume Party!

Gallie's class had a costume party today! Her real Halloween costume would have interfered with playtime, so she went as a fairy princess ballerina :)

She had a lot of fun. They played musical chairs and she won! The teacher told me that a lot of the kids didn't really understand that you could "win" and just thought it was silly... but not Gallie! They said she was really competetive and knew exactly what she had to do to win... sit in that chair! Another hightlight of the party was her friend, Kat, that was dressed as a Cat.

P.S. This guy has been lurking around the neighborhood... stay inside and keep your doors locked!

The Pick-up

Today Bup (Molly) surprised Gallie by picking her up from preschool! She was very happy and surprised her with a pumpkin collage she made.

The t-shirt was a gift from Bup that she brought back from her getaway last weekend. When Gallie was little (maybe 18 months?) she just randomly started calling Molly Bup. We have no idea where it came from but she would walk around saying "bup, bup, bup" in a very monotone voice. It stuck and now all of the nieces call her that. Kind of funny...

Caleb and I call her Meast... but that is a whole other story!

Over the weekend...

We were actually pretty busy this weekend, but I didn't bring my camera anywhere! On Friday night we stayed in and made pizza and watched a movie - Jungle Book 2. Saturday we went to Seattle to Callie's friend Ady's house to wish her happy birthday. Then that evening we went to Grandpa Mike's pumpkin carving party. It was a fun day, but we were very tired when we got home! On Sunday Callie and I went to a girl's sleepover at my mom's.

Since I don't have any pictures, I thought I would post a recap of past Halloween costumes to lead up to the big day this weekend!

8 months old: Monkey

1 year old: Clifford the Big Red Dog (no actual photo of her in the costume because she refused to put it on after I paid a fortune for it!) Here is a pumpkin patch picture instead.

2 years old: Jesse the Cowgirl

3 years old: ???????????

Over the weekend...

Friday night we had friends over for dinner (California Rolls and Ramen Salad - Delish!!!). They have two little girls , 7 and 1, and Callie had a ton of fun with them.

Saturday was TWIN DAY :) Flannel shirsts and polka-dot socks! Perfect for a beautiful FALL day!

The same friends we had dinner with invited us to go to the corn maze and look at farm animals with them. Gallie had so much fun and was thrilled to spend more time with Madeline (the 7-year-old).

Later that afternoon we went for a bike ride around the neighborhood and stopped at the park for some racing - Gallie won every race - Caleb and I are way out of shape!

On Sunday we went out to the Lange Family Pumpkin Patch! There were hay rides, pumpkin pick'n, games, and Halloween treats of all kinds! It's the best pumkin patch in town by far! We didn't get to the carving, but will do that tomorrow night.

It was a really great weekend! Gallie was invited to a sleepover at Grammy's and Caleb and I are suppose to go to a movie.... but the couch is so cozy right now I don't think I want to leave! We miss Gallie tonight!!!

Great Wolf Weekend

This weekend we went on a girl's trip to Great Wolf Lodge. It was very fun and we had a great time. I probably wouldn't take young kids again, though... better suited for older kids (and adults!). But the two girls still had a blast! After the Alpha & Omega craze, the wolf theme was a big hit!

The girls slept in the "wolf den." Gallie on the top bunk, Lily on the bottom. They even had their own TV in there... Gallie kept saying she was going to watch Clifford at 1:00 in the morning!

Ready, Set, SWIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
