Vacation is over :(

But it sure is good to be home :) We had a really good time together. Gallie did have a few (major) fits but over all she was a really good girl. She is so easy to travel with - and she loves flying! She's also great to travel with because she always makes us laugh. It was nice to get away from chores, work, and strict parenting (haha) and just have fun! What other time ever can Gallie have a happy meal for dinner three nights in a row?!?

San Diego!

We spent Friday exploring San Diego... which we also LOVED! I really think I would like living there :) First we went to Old Town - it was so fun! I had one of the best tacos I've ever had (nothing can beat the ones we had from a little stand on the side of the road in Mexico!) and Gallie loved going through all of the little shops... especially the old time candy store :) Caleb and I did too though - black licorice caramels!!!*

The second 1/2 of the day we went to Balboa park (that place is huge!) and the ZOO! The zoo was really fun, but we only made it through about 30% of it since we got there kind of late. We did see all of Gallie favorites, though - Lions, Polar Bears, and Cheetahs.

*Confession - I got my mom a variety of delish caramels to go with her Mother's Day gift... but I ate every single one last night! Sorry mom.

Seaworld

We actually ended up having more fun at Seaworld than Disneyland! It was way less crowded, not as hot, and Callie loved seeing all of the animals... and she especially loved feeding Kallie the dolphin! We decided not to go to Legoland... we are burnt to a crisp and want to avoid being in the sun all day long. We are going to Old Town in San Diego for lunch and may go to the Zoo this evening. Today we drove down to Carlsbad for a day off. We really like it here - we found a lot to do even though we had no plans for the day. Tomorrow we are off to SeaWorld! I forgot my camera charger so enjoy some more pictures from Caleb's phone!

Disneyland

Here are a few sneak peeks from Caleb's phone camera. It's been 92 and 94 degrees each day here... I wished for warmer weather, but not this hot! Highlight of Disneyland for Gallie has been meeting Rapunzel and It's a Small World. She also loved the tea cups and the cars ride. She begged us to go on Space Mountain... so today we took her - she said it was "just a little scary."
